Hi,
I have user who cannot open the companion app, download it. I assume that she have used it earlier. Now she is tried to download the app from the pop up window and from the app page, nothing seems to happen. The opening page also informs that error, "cannot connect to page... and temporarily cannot be used or it may been moved to another address.
I was trying to do it myself also and the same result, and also noticed that there are also some errors in the log and the browser informs "Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()"
In our organization there free possibility to end user to upload the app, so there are no need to use service desk or admin rights.

Atlassian Companion version 2.3.0
Confluence DC 9.2.3

This is a known problem to Atlassian. I was told by the service desk yesterday that their goal was to fix the documentation by the end of the day but it would appear that hasn't happened.
Please open a ticket to the service desk https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/ and ask for them to give you the executable files.
