Are there restrictions to the amount of text that can be added to a page?

Generally there's no character limit for Confluence page, but if a page is larger then 2Mb it may cause performance issue https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/slow-page-rendering-of-large-pages-due-to-http-post-limitations-183137.html

I once tried to import an 16MB MS Word docx file (a Paligo export). It did load but the page could not be 'saved' :)
