Archiving confluence sends email notification to old email address

User arching a confluence page receives system notification on an email address that was removed many months ago!?  Anybody else seen this?

hi @Stefan Rask and welcome to the Community!  Can you check the page Watchers and see if it includes an old email reference?  Also, is the user's email accurate in their profile?

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. No, there are no watchers with an old email. And yes the user profile is updated.  We now think this is related to deactivated users that still "own" some of the confluence pages. Will try to completely delete one of those old users and check if that stops the notification from going out.
