We are structuring our documentation in such a way that individual departments have their own spaces for info they care about, and there is also a central (shared) repository of knowledge.
Teams will typically search in their own space + the shared space, but not other departments (to avoid spamming). There is no permission issue, all spaces are accessible to all.
I am trying to deal with a case in which one department finds a relevant article in another department's space, and wants to include it in its own space for searches.
Ideally I would embed a link from somewhere in the new space to the original article in the original space, but then search in the new space will not include the content of linked document.
If the page is copied, it will fall out of sync.
Moving the page the shared knowledge area will require more work, and also spam other departments.
Is there a solution to this issue?
Hi ophir@cyberint.com ,
You can use "Include Macro" for including the contents of a different page. Any change made in your source page will be reflected on the page having include macro.
You will be able to search that page in your space with the page title.
Thanks,
Aditya
