Any confluence limitations with JavaScript code I should be aware of?

I have been trying to add a google chart into a confluence page and it has given me some trouble, where it will not work with other JavaScript code, or breaks other JavaScript code. Sometimes it doesn’t show the chart it only shows the actual JavaScript code within the div.

A few things to keep in mind:

Confluence provides the ability to include JavaScript codes either inside the Custom HTML or HTML macro. Applying the JavaScript inside the Custom HTML will enforce the script to be loaded in site-wide. However, applying the JavaScript inside the HTML macro will only trigger the script in a specific page in which the macro is placed
