Here is the error in atlassian-confluence.log:

Hi Simarjot,

Can you let us know the exact method you used in upgrading Confluence, and which version you came from?

Please also be sure to run through these steps:

Thank you!

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

Thanks for your reply. I dowloaded the atlassian-confluence-6.8.0-x64.bin file (for linux environment) and Upgraded an existing Confluence installation (old version 5.10.1).

Also I tried the plugin safe mode but could not edit the documents.

Thanks for your support,

Simarjot

Simarjot,

Thank you!

Can you have another look at your logs and see if there are any other errors mentioned? The one you provided doesn't give me too much information. Look for the word "ERROR" followed by "caused by:" at the end. This should give us more details.

Another option would be for you to do a clean install of 6.8 and then restore your backup from 5.10.1 and see if you're able to edit that way.

Regards,

Shannon

Hi Shannon,

I tried installing Confluence from scratch but I am getting the same error (twice each time I try to create a new page after installation):

[webresource] findItChangesArguments cyclic plugin resource dependency has been detected with: com.atlassian.confluence.editor:editor-resources, stack trace: [_context:editor-v3, confluence.extra.jira:jiraAnalytics, com.atlassian.confluence.editor:editor-resources, com.atlassian.confluence.editor:editor-resources-v4, com.atlassian.confluence.plugins.confluence-link-browser:link-browser-conf-frontend, com.atlassian.confluence.plugins.confluence-link-browser:link-browser-resources]
 -- referer: http://domainurl/confluence/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=ABC&fromPageId=2686982&src=quick-create | url: /confluence/rest/webResources/1.0/resources  | traceId: 8ef4355e03f088c6 | userName: user

There seem to be no other error. I shall try this again next week and let you know.

Thanks & regards,

Simarjot

Simarjot,

Any chance you're running behind a firewall or reverse proxy?

If so I would try a fresh install without and see if you still have the same issues.

Regards,

Shannon
