Add company hub as homepage

Hi Community,

I just tested the new company hub functionality and really like it.

Does someone know if it is also possible to set the company hub as homepage?
So if a user open confluence without a book mark or click on the icon, the "Company Hub" and not the "Home" page will appear?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Atlassian

I believe this is not a technical question but rather one that disrupts the structure of Confluence and makes it more difficult to understand. Having a hub, a separate landing page, and then spaces containing pages creates an additional layer. This layer (the hub) does not serve a hierarchical function but coexists with the landing page. At the same time, it lacks a crucial administrative feature: the ability to set it as the landing page. What is the reason for this? And why is the user not allowed to bring clarity to the structure? Your response, "You can build your own hub using a regular space and add carousels, etc.," suggests a lack of understanding of the actual impact. It appears more like a tech-driven feature that adds little real value. Is the hub part of your product roadmap, and do you plan to remove it or give it a meaningful function?

Personally very unhappy.  I already have navigation configured with a home page for the company.  Please STOP F*ing around with things....

and maybe fix things...

In Global Configuration->General Configuration there's a Confluence Landing Page setting. Currently you can select a space as the landing page (the Home page of the space becomes the new landing page).

The Company Hub is not avalaible to select as the landing page for the site. You could create a new space and build the home page with the new Carousel and Cards macros, then make this space the new landing page.

Cheers,

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your feedback.
In short, we can say that it is currently not possible to set the “Company Hub” as landing page.
The functions to use the home page of another Space as landing page have been around for a very long time.

Hi @Lisa

Maybe this could help:

https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/create-and-customize-a-company-hub/

Either way, it's just a test run so things and options will change.

Hi Kristian,
No unfortunately not, I have already read the document before I wrote to the community.
Let's wait and see how the feature develops.
