Access given but still cannot edit the page

I've created a page with a task. The idea of this page is to share information and ask people to tick a box (sign) once they've read it. I've given editor access to a number of people, but they still cannot edit the page (Cannot sign or tick the task box).

Can anyone advise me on this please.

Hi @Saul - welcome to this wonderful community. 

From what you wrote it sounds to me like the people you invited have viewing permissions on the page? What settings did you make to give them writing permission?

Is there maybe a page over the page that is restricted? If you have space admin rights check out restricted pages like it's described here.

You are correct, there are pages over pages. Does this mean I have to give them access to edit all these pages?

I've simply changed restrictions settings to allow these certain people to view and edit.
