About confluence can not login problem

I have a user directory named confluence in my confluence user directory, type Atlassian, and I have disabled it because when I turn it on all users can't log in including the admin user, and it reports username and password errors when I log in. I am using crowd for jira confluence integration. crowd's backend keeps reporting "INFO [plugin.rest.filter.BasicApplicationAuthenticationFilter] Invalid authentication for application with name 'confluence'.
Strangely enough, I tested in confluenced's user directory confluencel and it was through, no error was reported
What is the problem with this

It sounds like that is a local directory.  Can you confirm?
