A space I have created is not available in the site homepage drop down list

I have confirmed that confluence-users group is granted permission to my new space but it does not appear in my site homepage drop down list in settings? version 6.5.2

The problem is in the site homepage drop down from the further configuration tab, The Spaces are listed by Space KEY and not the Space NAME.  Very confusing.  I figured it out.

In Admin Settings > General Configuration > Space Permissions you should see all spaces. Once you find the space that you are having trouble viewing, click on Manage Permissions and add a group of users to view the page. If this doesn't work, I have additional questions to try and figure out why you cannot view the space. Remember to refresh upon any administrative changes.
