How do I add my phone to the 2 step verification? I have gone through the setup for 2 step verification but apparently my phone was never connected.
You've followed the instructions on this page to set it up?
If yes, try logging out and logging back in. Ensure you're logged out of all instances you have access to - you can view these on your Atlassian Account under "Products" - you can also log out from the Accounts section - which is worth a try!
If it still doesn't ask for verification, I'd suggest trying on a different browser or in hide mode on a web browser (eg. Incognito on Chrome) just to ensure it's not a browser setting or similar "remembering" your login.
