Hi Community,
We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear — and we’re excited to share a small but mighty improvement we’re making to the editing experience in Confluence, directly shaped by your input, which will start to become available in the coming weeks.
🔓 Say hello to the new pinning toolbar!
Many of you told us the floating toolbar could be frustrating — hard to find, inconsistent, and sometimes just in the way. So we’ve made it easier to pin the toolbar to the top of the page, giving you a more stable and predictable editing experience.
Or if you prefer your toolbar inline, you can easily unpin it from the top toolbar anytime.
Here’s what’s new:
✅ Pin the toolbar with one click — Just highlight any text and click “Pin toolbar” to lock it at the top. Want it back to floating? No problem — just unpin.
🧠Smarter change guidance — We’ve updated the visuals and language around toolbar changes to make them clearer and easier to understand.
📎 Better support, built in — The updated “What’s changed?” message links straight to helpful docs, and you can send us feedback right from there.
This change is all about making editing in Confluence feel more intuitive, consistent, and in your control — because we know that even small friction can get in the way of your team’s flow.
Thank you for continuing to share your feedback and help us shape the future of Confluence. Your voice truly drives what we build.
With gratitude,
The Confluence Editor Team đź’™
