Statuses are a great feature!
But it's very unlucky that it's not possible to filter for custom statuses :(

changing the status of the page counts as updating the page, rendering it a very lackluster feature.

On the page status topic: you are not alone with that opinion. The experienced team at nCino wanted to implement its content lifecycle management strategy using Confluence Automation and built-in status, but found that it's very far from enterprise-level requirements:
