Nothing wrong with the Legacy Editor and nothing wrong with RI - Real intelligence. Just saying. Glad I am retiring and I am sick and tired of this ever sliding carpet called progress to stupidity.
I am creating pages using the new api, but it is still creating them in the legacy editor (as of 1/22/2026). I know this is related to an old bug where larger pages would force to the old editor regardless of the api version used. Just double checking to make sure 1/21/2026 was the cut off date for any kind of legacy editor creation. Thank you
This is sad news as the new editor made confluence no longer fit for purpose for what we use it for sad looks like i need to get a replacement from your competitor now thanks Atlassian

Phase 2 (January 2026 - March 2026): Viewing or editing a legacy page will automatically convert it to the cloud editor.
Stop doing these things automatically! Btw. the transformation is also done without any change history. So reverting this is complicated.
WYSIWYG is still not the same and sometimes it's bad. After all these years, the code / panel macros still have no title attribute, it can't be collapsed.
For me at the moment the main problem with the new editor is simply, that you can't copy / paste anything from the Cloud <-> Data Center edit and preserve any macro or formatting. People work in booth environments. End of story.
EDIT: Yesterday i've reverted a page because it looks stupid and it's changed again -.- So it looks like their is a recurring daily job running and their is no way to exclude anything.
