📣 Making Automation for Confluence (even more) Discoverable and Contextual 🤩

👋 Avinoam from the Confluence automation team here again and today I'm happy to follow up on our earlier announcement "Making Automation for Confluence More Discoverable and Contextual" on how we're continuing to make Automation for Confluence even more discoverable and contextual!

New Contextual Recommendations

As space admins, if you're already using Jira Software or if you have yet to take advantage of making automations available to your end users ("📣 Automation for Confluence - Now Available to End Users! 🎉") - we'll occasionally jump in an recommend if a task can be automated. For example:

When publishing a page that has a link to a Jira issue

If you haven't yet created a rule allowing your end users to trigger automations

We hope these additions will help you as space and global admins increase internal awareness of automation so that more of your organization can leverage it to become more productive!

When will these be available?

These are already available to all Confluence Premium and Enterprise customers!

I love the rule menu! It makes manual automations so accessible (https://youtu.be/bWoQCCQupjw?t=853 😉)
@Avinoam, It would be nice to be able to specify a different name for the automation rule which displays in this menu. We like to use very descriptive names for our automations, but they don't make as much sense in the rule menu because the context is different.

@Matt Reiner _K15t_ that's excellent feedback! We're going to continue to iterate on this so we'll definitely have that in mind. We were also thinking of having the menu show a different visual icon for each action to help with the distinction your talking about.
