Currently, I find Confluence Whiteboards lacking a dedicated mind-mapping feature with functionalities such as:

  • Automatic reordering of items for better organization.
  • Drag-and-drop support for quick and intuitive rearrangement.
  • Efficient input workflow, allowing users to quickly add items of the same level—e.g., pressing "Enter" after entering an item immediately creates a new item for input.

This is definitely the ideal use-case for a freeform space such as whiteboard. Brings back some of the marker to drawing board brainstorming feels back!
