Hi everyone,
We’re excited to share that Confluence Whiteboards and Databases are now supported in Atlassian MCP v2 Preview and CLI.
Customers can now use agents to create, read, and edit Whiteboards and Databases via tools like Rovo Dev, Claude, and Codex. This expands what agents can do in Confluence beyond page text and helps teams work with more of their content in a natural, agent-friendly way. For example, you can use MCP or CLI to have agents create a whiteboard for an upcoming brainstorming session, understand key themes from all of your retrospective whiteboards, and add entries to your databases.
Support for Whiteboards and Databases is available now in:
Atlassian Rovo MCP v2 Preview
TWG CLI
The MCP v2 Preview is currently available through early access. The preview endpoint can be accessed at https://mcp.atlassian.com/v1/mcp/preview and more details can be found in the announcement here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Atlassian-Remote-MCP-Server/Preview-Atlassian-Rovo-MCP-v2/ba-p/3255431. We recommend using Sonnet 4.6 and GPT 5.5 for best results with Whiteboards.
Information on accessing the TWG CLI can be found here: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/twg-cli/getting-started/installation/
If you’re using MCP or CLI for Whiteboards or Databases, we’d love to hear your feedback and learnings in the community thread.
