Hi all! I’m excited to share that the Confluence mobile app team has just released improved support for rendering macros inline on iOS. Android support is coming soon.
Previously, for pages opened with unsupported macros on mobile, you’d see a fallback link experience instead of the content. Tapping the link launched a separate web view to display the macro. This broke the reading flow, made pages feel “broken” on mobile, and discouraged people from trusting Confluence as the source of truth on the go.
With this update, many macros now render directly in the page on mobile, so you can read, scan, and understand rich content without leaving the page or live doc.
The improved inline macro rendering is available now on the latest version of the Confluence mobile iOS app. Android support is coming soon.
To make sure you’re getting the newest experience:
This update is part of a broader effort to make the Confluence mobile app feel like a first‑class way to read and work with rich content from any location.
Drop a comment below to share your use cases, ask questions, or let us know what’s working well (and what isn’t). Your feedback helps us prioritize which macros and experiences we improve next in the Confluence mobile app.
