Legacy editor autoconversion and page version

Hi  @Elle Ky and Atlassian,

When the autoconversion from the legacy editor to the cloud editor happens, is the page version incremented?  And will the page storage format change?and 

Reason for asking: 

Many regulated customers (i.e. US FDA regulations, EU EMA, Fintech) require strict versioning of pages and signoff of pages.

If a page version or page content changes by only viewing a page, these customers will not be in compliance.  This will most likely need corrective action.

Hi @marc I apologize for the delayed response. Auto-conversion does not create a page version, viewing a page will not add a new page version. 

You will not see a new version added until a user manually edits and publishes the page. This information is also included in our FAQ page for quick reference in the future:

When pages are auto-converted, they do not automatically publish a new page version.
