Hey admins,
Managing Confluence Cloud isn’t always smooth—permissions, spaces, integrations… it gets messy fast.
Let’s use this thread to share real problems, smart fixes, and proven workflows.

Hey, yeah… this is super common with Confluence setups that weren’t actively managed.
What usually works is treating it like a cleanup project, not a quick fix. Start by identifying old and unused pages (like zero views in years), then archive instead of deleting—just in case something’s still needed. For those “updated but no real changes” pages, it’s often just metadata changes or system updates, not actual edits.
Best move is to set some rules going forward (like auto-archiving inactive content) so it doesn’t get messy again.
That is what I started to do, we have 21K in active page and most don't have owners and getting someone to decide to take those over, is like a trip to the dentist to get a tooth extracted. The complication is this was data center, migrated to cloud and no governance and ownership over the years. The junk we have in the system really make ROVO less effective. :-( 43% of our content has no active owner.
I really want to run an automation to just archive anything with no views, the updated threw me off though so it made me pause before going more indepth.
