"Overall, you get what you put in". This is definitely so true. For there to be any expectation that the content contained within the community is worth anything, the authors of the content need to care, which ultimately shows in the community collaboration.
I am one who already owns the badge. The review and quiz reminded exactly why I love being in this community. The like-mindedness of so many that are volunteering their time to help others, no competition, no elitism - just acceptance - is what makes us all feel so at home here.
Connect as a Community
This is my north star in here. Am I contributing in a meaningful way? Am I rewarding others that do with positive feedback and kudos? This drives me to participate and make sure that the participation benefits me as much as it does my peers.

Great job with this challenge @Summer Mahmoud ! So cool to see other interns launching their projects and making an impact! My favorite community value is "be the help you seek"!
My favorite part was learning the term necroposting. I knew of the concept, but not the term. I have always disliked necroposting as it can be problematic on other platforms because it often revives outdated information or buries current discussions, making it harder for users to find relevant, updated, and timely help.
The value that I cherish is "Engage with Heart and Balance".
I try to assume positive intent in every post I read, even if that is not the first impression I get. Sometimes that first impression is more about how I'm feeling that day then about what the author intended.
I try to be thoughtful in the responses I provide. It can be very tricky to grasp the tone a person is trying to convey when we have only words on a screen. I try to make sure that my responses use words that clearly represent the tone I want people to hear, as if they could hear me speaking the words directly.
I love that "AI usage for the purpose of formatting, language, spelling, etc. is allowed if utilized as a tool, but the core of your contributions should be written by you." I really dislike all the fully AI-generated content out there, but I do use AI to refine my own writing. It’s a great way to get your ideas down and then improve them with a bit of AI help.
The value that resonates with me the most is "Engage with heart and balance" as it feeds into building authentic connections with other Community members, as well as encourages members to help others rather than only seeking help. Everyone has something that they can contribute!
Sadly I don't think I learned a great deal as I have read these before and I have seen these and others like them in my many years a community owner and community manager.
...but maybe a lesson is that good communities all seem to share similar values in their guidelines?
This is such a great community, and the values and guidelines truly reflect that! Thanks for the opportunity to review them, @Summer Mahmoud and Team!.I learned that necroposting on threads older than six months is discouraged. I don’t think I’ve done that recently, but it was a helpful reminder.
One of my favorite values is 'Respect Others, No Bullsh*t'. I still remember how nervous I was when I made my first post, worried I might be judged. Thankfully, that never happened. I always felt supported and received so much help from this Community. I try to pay that forward by treating others the same way.
I just read through everything again and it was a nice refresher. One item I found interesting was the be safe rule of engagement. I think it is easy when seeking help to be willing to provide lots of information to get an answer. Sometimes I see this occur and help clean it up by editing the post. It is a good reminder to keep information safe.

As an Atlassian Certified Expert and active community member, mindfulness plays a big role in how I engage and contribute here. I always take a moment before replying to understand the user's intent, provide meaningful guidance, and ensure my responses empower others.
One mindful practice I’ve adopted is setting a 10-minute "reflection break" every afternoon where I step away from the screen, review how I’ve helped others in the community, and set an intention to improve one small thing the next day.
Being part of the Atlassian Community isn’t just about solving problems it’s about creating a space where learning, empathy, and encouragement thrive. Thank you for encouraging mindfulness and giving us a reason to pause and appreciate how we show up every day.
I love the reminder that we should be genuine in our answers and content and handle the Community with care. We're not here for the points; we're here to bring value in the long game.
