Hi pals! Apologies for the silence while we confirmed our tree counts in the background - while our Kudos system has recognized your tree planting actions in the back-end, it's taking us just a little longer than anticipated to have numbers reflected here in the Forums and in the Kudos tray. We are rolling out a variety of fixes this week to resolve the action tracking + restore totals, and I'll post an update on this thread when that work is complete 💚🌳
That is the way I understand it, @Ronald Bergmann. When the counters were not working at the beginning of the month, it appeared that progress counters were blocked. The team has done something behind the scenes to unblock that and since that point onwards, I noticed that the tree counter started working and it has been doing so since:
There are other kudos (and other) challenges that keep track of user activity, such as likes or kudos you give to content. I have understood that all that activity is effectivelystored in the community platform, but it will take the variety of fixes in the background as @PJ Zaiac is referring to to correctly reflect all these to the likes for trees challenge. If/when that goes well, I expect this to reflect a significant boost not only to individual contributions, but also to the overall progress towards the 50K goal. (do correct me if I'm wrong or have misunderstood, @PJ Zaiac).
In summary, it looks as if we collectively broke a couple of things in all our enthusiasm, but all activity should have been tracked and hopes are strong that they will - eventually - show up as they should before the end of the month. 🤞

I finally see some new numbers on my badge, but to make it more interesting I now see that I have completed it over 100 times today 😄 No but really, appreciate the work the team is doing on the background. Eager to see how many trees I've planted 😊🌱

Good news, Community!! We are fully back up and running with Likes 4 Trees 🎉🌲 Totals have been reflected in the front-end following a good bit of maintenance, and we are officially at 32,239 trees to go! WOW 🤩
@Ronald Bergmann, @Walter Buggenhout said it better than I can! We did have all of your contributions recorded in the platform, just had to work some magic to apply those contributions to Likes 4 Trees.
@Brita Moorus, over 100 in the single day is accurate here since we had to process your incredible tree-planting actions all at once - starting tomorrow, it's back to the normal 100 per day limits 😉
Happy planting, y'all!! We'll be hosting some tree-spamming celebrations in The Watercooler starting tomorrow, so please join us there for more tree love! 💚

Oh no, @Ronald Bergmann! I took a peek and found one last bug to squash, but your total should be restored based on your plantable actions from the 1st to today :)
The second episode of July-kable Miscellaneous Monday posts has dropped! Head over there to contribute content and likes. Episode I generated 998 likes! Can we break that in week #2?
They are not on there but I will send that link to the project and see if they can engage with them. It would be amazing to get a Tropical Dry Forest on there 💚
@Monique vdB: Thank you for answering. Its really trees are not only planted but taken care of. Really happy to know this. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to contribute to great cause just by hitting likes and giving comments !
