We're excited to share updates on a new pilot, built for the developers shipping on Forge and the Atlassian platform.
TL;DR
|
The best parts of this community have always come from builders helping builders answer the hard questions in a thread, sharing their first-hand experience after wrestling an app into shape, and showing someone the shortcut that saves them an afternoon. That kind of contribution is everywhere, and it’s enormously valuable.
The Developer Engagement Pilot is how we’re learning, too. With a small, focused cohort, we can move quickly, test ideas honestly, and better define what our community of builders needs and how we can help meet those needs, while shaping an approach to recognizing developer-to-developer impact that holds up before we bring it to more people. We’re treating this group as collaborators; their instincts and feedback will shape what comes next.
It’s a focused community of developers who are actively building on Atlassian’s developer platform, primarily Forge today, and who are invested in helping others succeed. Pilot members are both expert builders and community leaders. They:
Ship real apps and integrations on Forge and the Atlassian platform
Share how they build through examples, talks, and content
Help level up other developers and partners across the ecosystem
Think of it as the developer lane within the Atlassian Champions program. Pilot members get everything that comes with being a Champion, with a focus on access and opportunities tailored specifically to their work as developers.
This first cohort represents different regions, backgrounds, and ways of building on the platform including Marketplace partners, in-house app builders, and community contributors who are already showing up for other developers. A huge thank you to our founding members:

These builders are already contributing in deeply technical ways. The pilot makes that work more visible — so you know who the technical leads are and where to find the best conversations, content, and patterns. Expect them to:
Share practical, code-level examples of how they build on Forge and the Atlassian platform
Publish technical blogs, demos, and “how we built this” breakdowns
Host and speak at developer-focused sessions, meetups, and office hours
Answer questions and share patterns across our developer and Atlassian Community spaces
Surface real-world builder feedback back to Atlassian
This is the beginning. We’re learning alongside this first cohort, refining how we measure and grow builder-to-builder impact, and identifying more opportunities as the program scales.
To our founding cohort: thank you for jumping in early and helping us get this right. We can’t wait to build with you.
