Hi, @SilkeS -- Just a quick follow-up: the 429 errors now appear when opening only 2 pages within about a minute as of 26 April 2026 0925 PT, and continuing to today (27 April).  Perhaps it is a symptom of something other than rate limiting.  Thanks!

Hey @Bill Sheboy , a fix was pushed last night and the issue should now be resolved. Please reach out if you are still experiencing the issue.

Hi,

I have been facing this issue for the past few weeks where, whenever I open an Atlassian Community page, it keeps reloading automatically. This refresh happens every 3–5 seconds, which makes it very difficult to read or use the Atlassian Community pages properly.

I have already tried clearing cache and browser data, updating the browser, using different browsers, and testing in both normal and incognito modes, but the issue still persists.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks.

Hi @SilkeS and community manager team!

Starting today (21 May 2026 around 0900 PT) -- When I view articles written by other people, I am intermittently seeing my own profile information displayed at the top-right for the article: role / position, location, short bio, etc.  Refreshing the page does not consistently clear the symptom.  And, it appears more often when the article's author does not have values set for those fields in their profile.

Kind regards,
Bill

Update: 26 May 2026 -- The symptom now appears intermittently regardless of when the article author has their profile fields completed or empty.

Hi @Mahanth Prudhvi P , are you still experiencing this issue?

@Bill Sheboy do you have a URL to an article where this happens?

Do you open it in a new tab, a new window, or the same browser?

I have tried to recreate this issue but haven't had any luck so far.

@SilkeS -- This was opening the article in a new browser tab with Chrome Version 148.0.7778.179 (Official Build) (64-bit), under Win11Pro 64-bit.  I saw it most recently with today's "Welcome Wednesday" article:

https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Welcome-Center-articles/Welcome-Wednesday-When-is-it-OK-to-be-on-speakerphone/ba-p/3240294

It was so inconsistent last week that as soon as I noticed it and then tried to repro with incognito, another browser, clearing cache, etc. it did not happen.  A few times when it happened, even refreshing the page did not clear it consistently back to the author's information.

Just had it happen for this article:

Greetings!

I recently noticed a change to comment add / edit for Discussion topics where the text box is a fixed size, and no longer automagically resizes when one types in the field (e.g., getting larger, adding a scroll bar, etc.).  Was this an intentional change?

Kind regards,
Bill

Update: this symptom is now also happening when typing responses to Questions, not just for Discussions.

Hi, @SilkeS

It appears badging for Atlassian team members is not showing next to the author for articles.  This could confuse readers on the source of information, announcements, etc.  The workaround is readers need to pause to review the author's profile.

Here is a recent example:

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Bill Sheboy ,

I tested the two issues reported above.

I might have misunderstood, but the reply editor seems to work as expected. I added a long text and posted it successfully. Please tell me what should be different or if I am looking at the wrong thing.

Regarding badging, do you mean the Atlassian Team lozenge by the username? I still see it. Does it look different on your end?

Hi @SilkeS

The symptom with the comment / response field seems intermittent.  When I just tried it with a large block of copy-and-pasted text (as you did) it worked as expected.  If I can narrow the repro steps, I will post them.

For the badging, here is what I see when I look at that same post...and I wonder if it is related to that other symptom with showing the incorrect profile information:

Thanks, and I hope you have a great weekend!

Thank you @Bill Sheboy . I've shared this with our engineering team so they can investigate.

Hi @SilkeS . Thank you for your response. I am still facing this issue. I have tried chrome, firefox & microsoft edge. I have tried removing cookies & cache data, updated the apps, tried in incognito. Even after trying all of this I am still facing this issue. Today when I first logged into Atlassian community in firefox incognito it was fine then I have pasted the link in Firefox normal page now the issue is back in both normal and incognito modes. Not sure what is heppening. May I know how I can share the screen recording?

Hey @Mahanth Prudhvi P , you can email us at communitymanagers@atlassian.com

Could you please share the link you're pasting into the browser that triggers the issue? If you could also send us a HAR file captured when the issue occurs, that would be very helpful for our engineers to investigate.

Here's how to capture a HAR file in Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox and navigate to the page where the issue occurs.

  2. Open Developer Tools (press F12 or go to ☰ → More Tools → Web Developer Tools).

  3. Click the Network tab.

  4. Click the cogwheel icon on the right and enable "Persist Logs."

  5. Refresh the page, then reproduce the issue.

  6. Right-click any row in the Network panel and select "Save all as HAR."

  7. Send us the saved .har file.
