what is the best approach to backing up Bitbuck/GIT?

what is the best approach to backing up Bitbuck/GIT?

what are the best approach to backing up Bit bucket /GIT. What are Atlassian’s recommendations? Do we need to schedule a weekly outage to take a backup of the file system and DB schema ?

our only concern with the system backups is the backups are taken while Bitbuket is up and there is no synchronization between the metdata and file system repo data backups so, not sure if we could actually restore from that.

please Advice....
