unable to push repo

while creating repository under a project in stash, remote is successfully added but unable to push repository into remote. 'm getting error like this

error: src refspec master does not match any.
error: failed to push some refs to 'http://shruti.muktedar@103.253.36.226:7990/scm/nxtxnsmpl/dev.git'

can u help me reg this

If you already have the empty repo on Stash, the easiest way to push stuff to it is to clone the empty repo, add files, commit and push.

yup i cloned empty repo , this error occurred initially while creating repository .
