My work tried to invite me to the bitbucket repository but I don't seem to get their email; however their screen shows email invite has been sent to me; pulling my hair out now...

First, can you check if the invite email might have landed in your spam or junk folder? Atlassian invitation emails sometimes get caught there, especially with corporate email filters.
Second - if you already have an Atlassian account under that email address, the invite might not trigger a fresh email. In that case, try logging into id.atlassian.com directly and see if you can spot the workspace invitation under your profile/notifications once you're logged in.
Worst case , ask the admin on their end to revoke and resend the invitation. Sometimes the first invite gets stuck in transit.
