modeling the links in csi bridge

I am a senior civil engineering student from Lebanon and I have a question concerning the modeling in the csibridge software : I am modeling a box girder post- tension deck bridge, is it necessary to keep the links automatically created by the software the fix one ? or can I delete them so the deck is directly over the bearing link ?  thank you in advance for your time and consideration
