is it possible to assign a group for default reviewers?

As of now, I have to add individual user for the default reviewers. We would like to have a group instead and make it mandatory (the users should not remove the default reviewers)

Late reply, but I can see this is still a common issue throughout many companies (judging by the ever climbing view count), and Atlassian has yet to implement a worthy solution. Please excuse the promotion, but for yourself and those who are at their witts end and happy to utilise a paid solution - We have built an app for both Cloud & Server/DC that solves just this problem (plus many more). Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Out of the box you cannot add a group as default reviewers, in order to do that you would need an app like Scriptrunner which has an option to add groups as default reviewers.
