i have two user names because i was asked for one when i just wanted to login with my account.

i was given access to 2 repos and it was fine.  when invited to a 3rd repo (same company) i couldn't accept the invitation as it asked me to login (fine) but then asked for a username and i already had one. i created a new username and i only want the first one. any ideas on how to merge or delete the 2nd? and to get access to this repo with a login?

Have you tried something like this ?

Ask for the company to remove your first account from the repo and add your 1st account into that repo while you are online from the 1st account. And if it worked and you can work with the repo from 1st account then just remove the 2nd account from the repo. I had kind of a situation and removing and re-adding almost solved the issue.

If the above failed and no way to access the repo from the 1st account then it seems like asking for a merge between accounts. But as far as I know it is not possible to merge two accounts as Atlassian ID is an one account for multiple products of Atlassian including Bitbucket. (Like the way Google account works between multiple products of them).
But in a separate question from someone else, mentioned to contact Atlassian support. It was told by one of a Atlassian Team Member. Visit this link and have some details.
