how to check supported git version for bitbucket server?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: What version of Mercurial and/or Git do you support?

I get linked to this page from the Bitbucket server documentation link in the footer of Bitbucket server. But the presented solution does not apply to that version of Bitbucket server: Atlassian Bitbucket v4.1.0. How can I check for the appropriate Git client for Bitbucket server? (i.e. not Bitbucket cloud)

The Bitbucket Server Supported Platforms page for 4.1.0 shows what DVCS are supported.
