had to reinstall services, now need default password for atlbitbucket user

Greg Morgan June 16, 2020

Had to use the service.bat to uninstall the 2 Atlassian services because I upgraded the Java to JDK 11 but now upon installing the services back, it's asking for the password to the local atlbitbucket user.  Does anyone know the default password for this user?

Had to use the service.bat file(s) to remove, then re-install the services.  The one under ...\bin is for the bitbucket service.  The one under ...\elasticsearch\bin is for the elasticsearch service.

OK, so I simply changed the password from the Windows 2016 server users management tool and then updated the password in the services.   Now, both services will not start at the same time.   I can start the BitBucket service, and it will come up running but the ElasticSearch will not start.   If I stop the BitBucket service, then the ElasticSearch will come up running, but then the BitBucket service will not start.    Anyone seen this before.   If I run the start-bitbucket.bat from a cmd prompt, both will start in their own individual window, and then I can login to bitbucket via the browser.
