Hi Susant

Thank you for a good question!

Yes, there is even known vulnerability CVE-2018-5225 discovered in the following versions:

  • 4.13.0 <= version < 5.4.8
  • 5.5.0 <= version < 5.5.8
  • 5.6.0 <= version < 5.6.5
  • 5.7.0 <= version < 5.7.3
  • 5.8.0 <= version < 5.8.2

Please see Bitbucket Server security advisory 2018-03-21 for more details.

And let us know if you need any help with the upgrade procedure itself.

Hi Anton,

Thank you for the reply.

So it means if we go to 5.7.3 then it should be fine.

Hi Susant

Yes, totally. It's coming even with a new version of Elasticsearch, see Bitbucket Server 5.7 release notes for fixed bugs and available features.

Regards

Anton
