Hello dear community and support members,
i have a private free cloud account and my workspace /unweltdev is missing. I had not logged in in a long time - no workspaces are shown and I also cannot "self recover" as described here ..
If I try to create a new workspace using that same name I get the info that the workspace ID is already taken. So I guess it was auto deactivated.
Can someone please help me recover the workspace (and repo?) if still possible?
Thanks for any help, Sarah
Hi @Unwelt Dev
I've just re-activated your user account, it was marked DORMANT due to free workspace cleanup:
You should be able to access your workspace now.
Cheers!

Thanks so much @Ben it worked! I also found another answer by you and visited https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces/deactivated - there I now could manage to re-activate the workspace with its repos, I am so happy :-) Cheers!

Hello Atlassian Support Team,
I am reaching out regarding a Bitbucket Cloud workspace that appears to have completely disappeared from my account.
The workspace was named oyolabs and contained a private repository for a game project called Mistério dos Sonhos, which I developed and maintained over many years.
In 2025, I received an email informing me that the workspace storage exceeded the new 1 GB limit for free plans and that the workspace would be placed in read-only mode unless I reduced its size or upgraded the plan. At the time, my understanding was that the workspace would become read-only, not that it would be permanently removed.
Today, when attempting to access the project, I discovered that:
This repository is especially important to me because it contains many years of work, including source code, game assets, artwork, audio files, documentation, and other project materials related to an original intellectual property.
At this point, my primary goal is not necessarily to restore the workspace for active development, but simply to recover and download the project contents so I can preserve and archive the assets associated with the project.
Could you please verify whether the workspace was archived, deactivated, or removed as part of the storage policy changes, and whether there is any possibility of recovering the workspace, repositories, or repository data for export and download?
Even temporary access or assistance obtaining a backup of the repository contents would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time and support. This project has significant personal and professional value to me, and I would be extremely grateful for any help you can provide.
Kind regards,
Rafael Albalustro

Hi Sarah,
I'm experiencing the exact same issue right now. My workspace neptunede with our repository neptune_main has also
disappeared today. It was working fine just a few hours ago.
SSH authentication works, but git pull fails with "repository not found," and the workspace appears empty in the
browser. Same behavior from two different machines.
So it seems like this isn't an isolated case. Hopefully Atlassian can look into it.
