Why the hell do I want READ ONLY ACCESS to my repo?

I've wasted over an hour trying to figure this out. I try to push to my repo and I can't. Then I notice this...

"Use access keys to gain read-only access to this repository."

What use is this repo if I only have read-only access!!!!

People often need to read the code, but no need to change or commit. Reviewers, build services, etc.

You will need to talk to the repo owner to get yourself write access.
