Why is connecting Sourcetree to BitBucket so difficult?

I've found the setup process so incredibly difficult with both Mac OSX and Windows 10.  Currently, I'm attempting to connect via BitBucket OAuth connection via HTTPS and SSH and every time I login via the popup window it just shows the BitBucket website logged in and my repos inside the popup window.  No redirection occurs.  It took me 2 days of troubleshooting to get the Windows PC to connect and now this.  As a paying member of BitBucket you would think this process would be perfected.  I just installed Sourcetree 2.7.4 on macOS Sierra 10.12.6.

Solved by deleting ~/Library/Application Support/SourceTree

Tried again using BASIC authentication and received:

Confirm access to your account

Invalid redirect_uri

This integration is misconfigured. Contact the vendor for assistance.
