I setup a trial Jira Software account, and then went to Bitbucket to setup a repository. I was prompted for an email address. It recognized that I already have an Atlassian account for my Jira account, and invited me to use that account. I elected to do that, and then it responded with a page saying, "<email address> doesn't have access to this content on Bitbucket". Okay I'm lost. Any ideas?
Hi William, welcome to the Community!
I assume the email address mentioned in the message is the same email address you're already using for your Jira account. Using a trial account shouldn't be the problem, there must be something else that is prompting that message. Ana,
Thanks for chiming in to help me out.
I went ahead and created a Bitbucket account using a different email address, and I was able to successfully link my Jira account to it.
The issue I had occurred when I tried to link a Bitbucket account from Jira and then followed the prompts to create a new Bitbucket account. When prompted for an email address, it responded with a message indicating the discovery of my existing Jira account, with an offer to use that. After accepting that offer, it gave me the error.
I hope that helps you understand the context better. I'm going on memory and may not have the details 100% accurate - apologies if it muddles the picture.
Again - thanks for your help.
Bill
