I tried creating a new repository in Chrome and received this error:

CSRF verification failed. Request aborted.

Please enable 'Referer' headers for this site and try again.

A web search turned up nothing useful for resolving this issue. As a result, Bitbucket is currently useless for new projects.

Can anyone point me in the direction of information on how to resolve this problem?

Hi Frank,

In most cases that I've seen this error reported, the culprit was some browser extension (possibly blocking some scripts in Bitbucket).

Can you try disabling any extensions you have in Chrome and then attempt the operation again? You can also try disabling them one by one and then attempt the repo creation, to figure out if and which one may be causing this.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

Kind regards,
Theodora
