Why Bitbucket allows to merge with checks not passed?

Oliver CENTENO
November 24, 2022

I have setup checks in my Bitbucket to ensure:

- 1 approval

- No failed builds

- No task unresolved

- No changes requested

But the merge button is enabled and (even though there is a warning) I can do the merge.

This should not happen, otherwise what are the checks for?

Hey @Oliver CENTENO

The enforcement of merge checks is considered a premium feature and it has to be enabled.

Go to: Repo Settings -> Under Workflow to Brach Restrictions -> Add or edit a branch restriction -> Choose the merge settings tab -> Look under Merge Conditions
