I followed the general instructions to create an Application Link between our Bitbucket TEST environment and Jira Cloud:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserverkb/how-to-create-an-application-tunnel-link-between-bitbucket-datacenter-and-jira-cloud-1364721965.html

The Steps i have covered so far are :

  • Installed Application tunnels on the Bitbucket test server

  • Configured required connections and ports
  • We don't rely on Bitbucket to handle the https redirection, rather the AWS Network LB.  So we are already doing what Atlassian is suggesting there.

The bitbucket instance is connecting to Atlassian cloud, but we are getting an Incomplete Status from Atlassian Cloud for the Application Tunnel.

This is the screenshot from Atlassian:

Sometime whenever we insert the key it says status as unavailable but otherwise it shows as Connected. This si the screenshot from bitbuckettest server:

You might have one more step to go...

Incomplete:

The tunnel has been created in admin.atlassian.com, but its security key hasn’t beed added to your self-managed instance.

To solve this issue:

Edit the tunnel in admin.atlassian.com, and copy the security key.

Add the key to your self-managed instance.
