I am trying to recover my Bitbucket account and when I tried to enter the application said to me "we couldn't log you in" as you can see in the image below. I am trying to logged in by cleaning cache, in private mode, in different browsers but I always obtain the same result.Captura de Pantalla 2026-02-21 a las 11.12.02.png

Thanks in advance. Regards,

@Pablo Bascuñana Are you still experiencing this issue? On the Bitbucket Status page (https://bitbucket.status.atlassian.com/), I see that there was maintenance being done on the 21st. I'm not sure if this would have resulted in the error you experienced.

Hi @Pablo Bascuñana ,

I'm only aware of this existing 'issue' when it comes to login troubleshooting: BCLOUD-23955: Logging into https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces without a Bitbucket Cloud account results in an infinite loop and prevents login

Do you experience the same thing when you try to access this: https://bitbucket.org/account/workspaces/? 👀

As for contacting support, you can try using this link instead: https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing#/
The previous one, as you have discovered, requires having a paid plan in order to raise a ticket.

Cheers,
Tobi

Hi,

This is a known Atlassian login issue and usually not a Confluence problem. It’s most often caused by browser settings, extensions, or account status.

Try these quick fixes:

  1. Open the page in an Incognito/Private window.

  2. Clear browser cache and cookies.

  3. Disable ad-blockers, privacy extensions, or VPN.

  4. Try a different browser.

  5. Make sure cookies and pop-ups are allowed for Atlassian sites.

If it still fails:

  1. Your Bitbucket/Atlassian account may be inactive or restricted — contact your org admin or Atlassian support.

Why it happens:
Some browser add-ons block required login data (like the referer header), which causes the “We couldn’t log you in” error. (Atlassian Support)

In short:
This is usually a browser or account issue, not something you need to wait for an update to fix.

Hi,

I've tried everything you suggested, and nothing works. I'm the account administrator, and it's an old account I haven't accessed in a long time. When I tried to log in now, I ran into this problem. I have tested to do login with another account and I have no problems to enter it...

How do I contact support? I see that I need a paid account to contact them, and the suggested solution doesn't even allow me to submit a ticket.
