Users not receiving bitbucket repo invites

Hi team,

I'm trying to add users (refer to below screenshots) to one of our repos: https://bitbucket.org/belk_ecom/bms-ui but they're not receiving email invites.

They received an invite few weeks ago, entered the code emailed to them - yet can't see the repos that we added them to. This is holding them up with their dev work and time sensitive. I need your assistance to troubleshoot this.

I talked to the team (proofpoint) who's responsible for sending out emails and they've mentioned that no emails were quarantined. image.pngimage.pngimage.pngimage.png

Hello @Sruthi_Nadimpally

First, you want to edit your post. This is a publicly accessible forum from the internet, so stacking personal data here is already dangerous.

Ask each affected user to open their Atlassian account → Email → Email preferences center and make sure Product Invitations is enabled. Atlassian documents this as a common reason Bitbucket invitations are not delivered even when other Atlassian emails work.

As a workspace admin, check Workspace settings > User groups for pending invitations for the same users. Cancel all existing invitations, including the current repository invitation, and send a fresh invitation after confirming the email preference.

Check if Proofpoint is rewriting the URL for "Accept invitation," as Atlassian documentation indicates email security URL rewriting can cause successful authentication but a pending Bitbucket invitation.

Here some good documentation

https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/kb/troubleshooting-not-receiving-bitbucket-cloud-workspace-invitations/

https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/kb/email-notifications-not-working/

First check that all and we can go from there.

Best,

Arek 🤠
