Has anyone run into this problem? I have free tier, so I'm limited to 5 users across my repositories. I have checked multiple times, and my repos are only being shared with 5 people, but I'm still being told I've exceeded my limit and am unable to make any commits.
Hello Tucker,
Bitbucket free is limited to 5 users (as you have stated). This user count is totaled from the users you have shared repos with along with a count of yourself. So if you have Yourself and 5 additional users shared, you will have a total of 6 users.
@Ana Retamal does an excellent job explaining how the user counts work including how their access across repos. You may find her post at How 5 user limit works?
If you could please confirm, are you sharing your repos with 5 additional people (not including yourself)? If this is the case, you will need to either upgrade your plan or remove shared access to one of the users. If this is not the case, we will open a support request on your behalf to help resolve this issue.

Thank you for the reply. I did see that post, but that post makes it seem like the 5 users does not include my own account. I guess that was my confusion as I do have 5 users in addition to myself connected to my repos.

Glad we're able to provide some clarification on how the user count works for Bitbucket.
