Upgrade path for Bitbucket from 4.X to 6.X

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience upgrading Bitbucket server from a 4.X version to the new 6.X version?

4.X has been End of Life for sometime, but we have been slow to upgrade. We are now in the position to prioritize this upgrade, however I have concerns about a direct upgrade from 4.X to 6.X. Is this possible, or is first upgrading to 5.X prior to 6.X required?

Have not found anything online specifically preventing anyone from 4.X to 6.X, but any insight, gotchas, or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Erik

Hi Erik,

You can upgrade from 4.x to 6.x directly, no intermediate upgrades are required.

If you follow the upgrade guide (https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/bitbucket-server-upgrade-guide-776640551.html) this should be smooth sailing!
