Due to the recent security email from Atlassian I upgraded my self hosted bitbucket server from 5.8.1 to 5.8.2 using the windows installer as per the instructions but now can't access either by localhost or reverse proxy and get the following error when trying to access via a browser:

Server error 502 - Web server received an invalid response while acting as a gateway or proxy server.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Matt,

502 is a generic error thrown by the proxy server that just means the upstream server (Bamboo) returned an invalid response. Are you able to bypass the reverse proxy and see what error Bamboo throws?

I'd also take a look at the <BambooHome>/logs/atlassian-bamboo.log to see if any error occurs during startup.

Cheers,

Thanks Christian. BitBucket wasn't launching at all so I've decided to install a completly fresh version (5.9) as I only had a few sites in there so it won't take much to set the repos up again.
