Update JIRA issue automatically once pull request is approved.

Is there a way to update the JIRA issue automatically once a pull request from stash is approved. I guess i can add a script in hooks directory and call jira-client for update but is there built-in feature in stash which i can use. Are you planning for this feature in future releases?

Hi Vikas,

At the moment I'm afraid there isn't anything built-in to Stash. For now you could certainly add a manual hook, although my suggestion would be to write a plugin that listens for the PullRequestMergedEvent and then uses ApplicationLinks to update the relevant JIRA issue.

Regarding future plans, we are certainly thinking long and hard about how best to provide this functionality. I'm afraid I couldn't give you any concrete dates, but you might want to keep an eye on STASHDEV-2754, which is part of the biggest story STASHDEV-2491.

Cheers,

Charles
