Unlink Jira issue from Stash ticket

We have Stash setup such that it will link to the Jira Ticket based on the commit message text, is there a way to remove a linked isssue from Stash if it happens that the ticket number is mistyped? I am able to remove the link from the Jira Ticket, but that doesn't fix the problem in Stash.

The easiest way - is to edit commit message using git.

I tried doing a interactive rebase to change the commit message. What wound up in stash though was my modified commit message, but prior to that was the bad commit message so Jira is still picking it up. It's creating a warning on my version details page that I would like to get rid of. The original poster suggested he could remove the link in Jira. Any ideas on how to do that?
