Unable to transfer project

dschwanke July 13, 2020

I am an admin for two different workspaces.  I tried to move a repository from one workspace to another.  The transfer seems to be waiting for something or someone.  I can not tell what the delay is.  All I do know is that the repository details page tells me that I initiated the transfer a week ago to the correct workspace and that I can revoke it.

I have done this action seamlessly in the past. I have not received any email notifications about the transfer request.  Not sure where to go from here.

Hi @dschwanke - when you perform a repository transfer to another workspace, Bitbucket will send an email to the owner or administrators on the new workspace so they can accept or reject the transfer.

You will be able to revoke the transfer until the owner/administrators from the new workspace accept/reject the transfer. So since you're still seeing that option to revoke it, it sounds like it hasn't been accepted yet on the new workspace's side.

You mentioned you are an admin on the new workspace, did you get any email to accept the transfer? If not - you may want to revoke it, and try to transfer it again and make sure you specify the correct workspace id when transferring.

This doc explains the repository transfer process in more detail: https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/transfer-repository-ownership/

Thanks,

Samir

Revoking and then Issuing a new Transfer worked.
