Hello,

I set up 2FA on my Atlassian account. This was successful, but when I tried to access Bitbucket all my 2FA codes were failing, saying they're invalid.

I went back to my Atlassian account settings, logged in and disabled 2FA:

When I try to access BitBucket now I am still being presented with a 2FA screen, which I can't get past.

I have tried in a different browser where I have cleared all cookies and website data. I can log into Atlassian fine, but when I follow the link to BitBucket I can't get past the 2FA prompt.

How can I regain access to my BitBucket account?

For anyone coming across this in the same situation, the issue is that BitBucket and Atlassian 2FA codes are separate systems. I'd mistakenly thought everything was under the Atlassian account.

I had disabled 2FA on my Atlassian account, but the separate BitBucket one was still enabled. Check your 2FA app for a separate BitBucket entry.

If you don't have your separate BitBucket 2FA or recovery codes handy, you can reset BitBucket 2FA via the 'Forgot code' link on the BitBucket 2FA prompt.
