I am writing to request assistance with recovering access to my Bitbucket account. I am currently unable to log in as I am being prompted for a recovery code, despite never setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on my account.
Please assist me in recovering my account or guide me through the necessary steps to resolve this issue.

I understand you're facing difficulties logging into your Bitbucket Cloud account due to the Two-Step Verification (2SV) requirement.
When you have this security feature activated, you'll need to complete a verification process if your active session expires or if you log in from a new device.
If you've lost access to your mobile device, you can use a one-time link sent to the email associated with your account to regain access.
This recovery link will allow you to temporarily disable 2SV and log in to your account.
To request this recovery email, click on "Forgot code" and then "Send recovery email" when asked for the 2SV code on the login screen.
Keep in mind that there is a 24-hour waiting period to receive the email. This delay is necessary to protect our customers and their data from potential security threats and it's not possible to bypass this security measure.
